Advocate Farooq Bashir

Advocate Farooq Bashir is President of Christian Lawyers Alliance Pakistan (CLAP) and an Advocate of the Lahore High Court. He serves under Founding Patron in Chief Advocate Soba Sorya and carries the day-to-day leadership of the Alliance.

Born and raised in Lahore, he completed his Matriculation in 2008 and his Intermediate and Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Punjab in 2012. He earned his Bachelor of Laws at Toppers Law College, University of the Punjab, from 2016 to 2018.

He was enrolled by the Punjab Bar Council in 2019 and practised before the Magistrate and Sessions Courts. In 2021 he was enrolled as an Advocate of the Lahore High Court. He is a Life Member of the Lahore Bar Association and the Lahore High Court Bar Association.

Advocate Bashir served four years at the Law Clinic of the Human Rights Protection Centre, where he represented victims of persecution and violence. He is legal counsel to the Master Group of Companies, including Master Sanitary, Master Poly Plastic, Master PPRC and Masterlinks Real Estate and Builders.

Known for the boldness of his faith and his commitment to human rights, he leads CLAP's response in the courts to attacks on Christians and to forced conversion cases across Punjab.
