Advocate Akhiz Masih

Advocate Akhiz Masih is an Advocate of the Lahore High Court, a human rights researcher, and a member of Christian Lawyers Alliance Pakistan (CLAP), serving under Founding Patron in Chief Advocate Soba Sorya. He combines courtroom practice with academic study of the Christian community's rights in Pakistan.

Born in Kasur, the son of Fazal Mahmood, he completed his Matriculation in 1994 and his FSc in pre-medical at Murray College, Sialkot, in 1999. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, and worked for nine years in banking until 2013, when he left to study law.

He earned his Bachelor of Laws in 2017, a Master's in Political Science in 2019, and an M.Phil in Human Rights in 2023, with a thesis on the Christian community and human rights in Pakistan. He is licensed for the lower courts and the Lahore High Court.

His research gives CLAP the evidence base for its advocacy, and his practice gives the persecuted a lawyer who has studied their situation as closely as anyone in the country.
